I didn’t know much about Portugal before arriving, I learnt a few words from some Portuguese and Portuguese speaking friends and booked an airbnb with a cute young local family. I hit the sights, ate fresh sardines and watched a Fado show. I explored some coastal sights, enjoyed the beautiful parks while blessed with some wonderful summer weather and the warm welcome from the friendly locals. Since this first trip, Portugal has since became one of my favourite countries to visit.
