The Wahine Project hosted their Women’s Surf Retreat in Sayulita, Mexico in collaboration with Surf It Out. Kind, patient and knowledgable local surf instructors Risa Mara Machuca Schlanger and Diego Ulises Bernal Lara got these women having fun and better yet surfing! I was honoured to be invited along to join these beautiful women and photograph their experience surfing, exploring new roles and breaking the boundaries as they got out of their comfort zones. This trip was inspiring and led me to discover new challenges and transformations within myself as I connected with these wonderful women.
